Ride the roads made famous by the Giro d'Italia!

Bormio, Italy, is an antique town with uncontaminated beauty.  Surrounded by one of the largest protected areas in Italy, nature is displayed on a pedestal, creating an outdoor playground with breathtaking views.  All of our rides will lead us on some of the most beautiful climbs in Europe.  Gavia, Stelvio, Mortirolo ... just saying their names brings pure joy.

DAY ONE:  ARRIVAL

Picture
Details:

Our Cycling Centre team will greet you with a smile and a snack in Milan before transporting to our hotel in Bormio. Depending on arrival time, we will ride towards Lago Cancano.  This route is part of the medieval trade which transported wine to central Europe in exchange for salt.   As you climb you are surrounded by the mountain pines which lead you to the beautiful views from the Fraele Towers.

The length of this ride will be determined based on flight arrival times and time to get all the bikes set up, but riders can expect an easy hour to work out some jet leg and test the bikes.

DAY TWO: DOUBLE STELVIO

Prepare yourself for the famous DOUBLE Stelvio!!  This high-level tour with 88 spectacular hairpin bends is a must for the bucket list of every cyclist.   We will start from Bormio and climb the Stelvio, crossing into Switzerland before descending the Umbrail Pass and rolling through the flat roads of the valley back in to Italy.  Once we reach Prad, prepare yourself for the second time up the Stelvio, this time from the backside leading to a memorable 25 km descent through Bormio and back home.
